With beautiful photography and sophistication, Northern Virginia Style & Living celebrates the good life, taste and trends for the region and people in Northern Virginia. We focus on food, wine, distilleries, beauty, fashion, places to visit, art and culture, as well as tourism in the region. Our magazine is intended for locals and the people who visit this beautiful region just outside of Washington, D.C. Our publication celebrates Northern Virginia, its people and places and is interested in building its future.
Jessica Monte, Editor-in-Chief
Jessica is the Editor-in-Chief at Northern Virginia Style & Living. She has lived in Northern Virginia for 12 years, residing in Oakton, Reston, and Ashburn. As a freelance photographer Jessica has had the opportunity to travel all over Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. Her client list includes athletes Kirk Cousins, Jordan Reed, and Darryl Tapp as well as Congresswoman Barbara Comstock. Her portrait work is on display in thousands of homes in the Washington, D.C. metro area and she has been published in a number of magazines and newspapers nationally and internationally.
With a strong background in writing and art, Jessica decided to found a magazine that celebrates the beautiful place she gets to call home. And it just so happened that there are so many great people in the region who want to help be a part of this publication.
Matthew Monte, Chief Executive Officer
Matthew holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University and is the author of Network Attacks and Exploitation. While he has built a career in development, tools and strategies for corporations and the U.S. government, he has also spent his entire adult life living, working and enjoying the finer things in Northern Virginia. Matthew is always up for a good game of billiards.
Vincent Sales, Art Director
Vincent Sales is the lead designer for Northern Virginia Style & Living. He holds a degree in Fine Art from James Madison University. Originally from the Philippines, he spent much of his childhood in England and still loves to brew a good cup of tea. On his days off, he likes to cook spaghetti, paint, and lounge with his cats Chester and Jimmy.

Gena Casagrande, Home Editor
Gena attended James Madison University, and then went on to pursue a master’s degree in school counseling. Gena has a love of art, furnishings, textiles, decor and is constantly inspired by all things creative in a home or place of business. She believes such design elements can really tell a story and set a mood. She loves spending time with her family and friends, running, good food and wine, serving in the community and traveling. She lives with her husband, son, two daughters and two dogs in Leesburg, Virginia
Sasha Creswick, Lifestyle Editor
Sasha, an Australian native, graduated from La Trobe University with a degree in Fine Art. She also holds a Cordon Bleu Diploma. Her family owned a boutique in Australia that stroked her early interest in clothing and style. Her smile and warmth are contagious as is her passion for fashion. Sasha knows her way around a makeup counter, can identify the finest of fabrics, cuts, and style. She is the granddaughter of Claudia Creswick and two time gold medal Olympian in equestrian. Her grandfather was also a thoroughbred race horse breeder. On her father’s side, her grandfather was the Chairman of the Victoria Racing Club and Master of The Melbourne Hunt Club. Both of her grandfathers played polo for the Queen of England. Sasha grew up in the horse world, bred thoroughbred horses and is now the proud mum of daughters who fox hunt and play polo.
Sasha has lived all over the world, including in Miami, Georgetown, Middleburg, and of course in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Sasha lives with her daughters and pups in Ashburn, Virginia. She loves all things fashion, art and design.
Holly Heider Chapple, Floral Editor
Holly Heider Chapple founded her wedding and event floral design business 25 years ago and focused on weddings and events in the Washington DC area. Over the years, the Holly Heider Chapple Flowers brand continued to grow and gain international recognition. In 2010, Holly founded The Chapel Designers, which is an international collective of wedding and event floral designers. The organization educates, supports and mentors creatives while encouraging the authenticity of each designer. Holly and her husband Evan host the Chapel Designers workshops internationally, throughout the USA at their new farm, Hope Flower Farm in Waterford, VA. Hope Farm is a working flower farm, a registered bed and breakfast, as well as a retreat for those designers seeking education and inspiration.
Jennifer Chatman, Profile Contributor
Jennifer has lived in Northern Virginia for 25 years. After receiving her degree in Clothing and Textiles, Jennifer worked in apparel production for nearly ten years. She did a short three-year stint working in telecom consulting in “Little Silicon Valley” aka Reston, VA prior to “retiring” to care for her three children.
After 13 years of raising kids, Jennifer decided it was time for a new adventure. She launched her blog, Jennifer the Beholder (www.jenniferthebeholder.com), last spring. Through her blog, she pursues the advancement and promotion of the many amazing entrepreneurs, artists, and makers in the DMV. Her ultimate goal is to do her part to contribute to the positive growth of the community that we share.
Lacey Tanner, Director of Social Media
Lacey understands that business relationships in the age of digital marketing is an opportunity to better serve the market place and build more human connections than ever before. Her passion for fashion, fine cuisine, and the places to be seen at are channeled into thriving Instagram and Facebook accounts for Northern Virginia Style & Living. When she isn’t out and about or gathering content for NVSL, Lacey enjoys theater, taking photos, hiking, and her two puppies Kiki and Poppy.

Chris is an Ashburn resident and business professional with a background in development, analysis and forecasting. He has twenty plus years professional experience within the following industries: Public, Private, Not-for-Profit, Financial, Technical, and Engineering.
